With an Irish whiskey collection of over 350 bottlings (and growing), we understand it can be a very difficult decision to settle on just one so we’ve created a number of different Irish whiskey tasting boards to help you on your way.

On each tasting board you can sample 3 different Irish whiskeys and learn a little bit about each of them.

First up we have the very aptly named, “Dublin Calling“.

Roe & Co

Named to honour the memory of a whiskey-maker whose distillery was in its time the largest in Ireland at the time. Creamy, delightfully fragment and remarkably rounded.

Pearse – The Original

On the nose this is a relaxing whiskey with a slightly citrus note. It has mellow malt tones and an aroma of light honeyed fruits. This whiskey has a light, smooth and easy taste with a hint of spearmint that warms to hints of semi-sweet chocolate, light oak wood, creamy vanilla and light caramel.

The Dead Rabbit

Comprised of both malt and grain, this whiskey was initially matured in ex-Bourbon barrels casks and then finished in virgin oak American casks. Caramel and vanilla sit up front, with notes of nutmeg, milky coffee and macadamia in the background.

Dublin Calling is available at any time at The Shelbourne Bar for just €12.
